The Perfect House

What up, boils and ghouls! Wanted to share some cool news about a film screening I will be attending tonight at the Ibrahim Theater at the International House in Philly.

The Perfect House is a film from Kris Hulbert & Randy Kent, and I was really impressed with the trailer. Thanks to Chris Tillman over at Rocky Mountain Terror for the 411 on this flick and for the hook-up. Chris recently saw the film at a con and told me to check it out. Coindicidentally, the film is touring and just happens to be playing in Philly tonight.

Here’s the official synopsis:

THE PERFECT HOUSE – a unique horror story that crossed the lines of taste and ethics long before the script hit a piece of paper. This ultimate horror anthology features three intertwined stories taking place generations apart, all set in the same house. Homage is paid to the horror stylings of the different time periods each story is set.

Newlyweds, Mike and Marisol, are given the tour of their potential dream home by a perky real estate Agent. They soon find out that their perfect house might just have a past. The ugly horrors of this house are revealed through three original tales of terror:

A Hitchcock inspired, dark shadow filled tale of an abusive family taking shelter in their basement from a violent, fast approaching storm. Soon we learn that the weather isn’t the only thing threatening to tear this family apart….

Jason, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger are all mythological perfect killing machines that still to this day terrorize our subconscious. But could the perfect serial killer truly exist? Maybe he’s already been operating undetected for years. Maybe he’s someone’s next-door neighbor. Maybe even yours……

Overseas tourists and malcontents have been tortured and dismembered by sick sociopaths in puzzling ways many times over. These days you never know what can be the trigger that unleashes a brutal murderous attack. Infidelity? Revenge? Greed? Power? Maybe something as simple as forgetting to return that borrowed lawn tool can set someone off. You’ll be sure to have all your affairs in order the next time
you accept an invitation to be a “Dinner Guest.”

I am really looking forward to the screening, and plan on doing a review for the May episode of Hauntcast. For more info, check out the official site or the IMDB page.
