I’ll be the first to admit I thought the Syfy channel had become a joke. This was a long while back when cheesy commercials ran par with their programming. Times have changed. With a string of creative and very watchable series like Ghost Hunters, Face Off, Being Human, Warehouse 13, Hollywood Treasure, and Haunted Collector, they grabbed my serious attention again. Now with Monster Man, a reality series that mingles the weirdness of the business with the business of making the weird, I’m hooked. Sure, you would think making two-headed sharks and conjoined twins would be a lark, but there’s madness in the methods and the people involved with making monsters, which provides enough reality drama and career notes to keep it interesting, informative, and lively for the horror fan.
